We all know Joffrey Baratheon - that b*st*rd. Enter Purple Days; Joffrey is dying, over and over again. Each time, he loses a bit of himself, until finally, he decides this accursed land needs fixing so he won't die any longer. The unlikable, unloveable, Joffrey Baratheon slowly becomes an engaging, likeable character in this long, far reaching story. Even going to the land of Yi Ti, Joffrey's adventures take him far and wide in search of a way to end the threat from the North. Growing older and older, his mind becomes consumed by all that he's seen and lived through. And then there's the mystery of what is causing him to wake up in another time loop every time he dies. It's a super engaging read.
