When Jaune woke up back in his house with his sisters and family, all he could do was sigh. Every time he died he was forced to start over again, and this was what... the one thousandth time? More? If it doesn't matter how hard he tries, doesn't matter how much he fights. Then maybe it's time to just kick back and enjoy himself. Fate can find someone else to be its whipping boy.

Tired of Dying, It's Time For A Vacation... Except Not Quite

After a short string of successful and popular stories, Coeur Al'Aran put this story out, which quickly became one of the single most famous stories in the RWBY fandom. Jaune Arc has been looping for longer than he can possibly remember. He's done everything and more to try and stop the destruction of Remnant, lived every life he thought was possible to live. Weary, he decides to take one loop for himself, a vacation where he can be with his family and rest. But Fate has other ideas for him, and he quickly becomes enrolled in Beacon, against his will, and involved in every conflict he wanted to avoid. I believe this story is a master of planned writing. The character arc of Jaune from start to finish is one of the best of any character I've seen in any fanfiction. Split into several story arcs, nothing is left to chance, nothing is not meant to be there. Everything in every chapter builds and builds until it reaches a wonderful crescendo at the climax of each story arc. It's a story of how Jaune learned how to live, something he had long forgotten, and how he rebuilt his weary soul, but it is also the story of the people around him. Long since forgotten that the people around him were just that, people and not props, they surprise Jaune again and again, going against everything he thought he knew about them. The world moves even when he thinks he knows every one of its movements. It's an incredibly engaging story, an incredibly funny story, an incredibly relaxed story. If you like RWBY, it's worth a read.
